Del Tackett, D.M.

Dr. Tackett is the chief spokesperson for Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project. He was the founding President of New Geneva Theological Seminary and currently serves as an adjunct professor at New Geneva and Summit Ministries.  Dr. Tackett served over 20 years in the United States Air Force and served at the White House during the George H. W. Bush administration where he was appointed by President Bush as the director of technical planning for the National Security Council.  Following his service at the White House, he served in various senior analyst and manager capacities at Kaman Sciences Corporation and ITT Industries.  He is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church in America.

Summary of Publications and Presentations 

Dr. Tackett has been married to his wife Melissa since 1972 and they have four grown children. 

Dr. Tackett is also sought after as a conference speaker, relating to topics from American Christian heritage to Christian worldview to technical subjects and management. 

As a professor, Dr. Tackett has taught more than 30 undergraduate and graduate courses at three different institutions over a 13 year period 

Dr. Tackett has published a variety of written works.  He has published articles in the Focus on the Family magazine addressing worldview and cultural issues.  He has also had several technical articles and manuals published by the U.S. Air Force.
